Dear Mr. Schlesinger:
I would like to introduce myself as a researcher who has been working on the documentation of the family of EUGENE MODELL. He is the son of WILLIAM MODELL (1896 -1972) and PAULINE SCHLESINGER (1903-1969), the daughter of ISMAR SCHLESINGER and GRETHE WAHRENBERG.
According to Eugene, he has distinct memories of his mother writing to a relative who lived in Brazil. He unfortunately did not know the name of this relative or any information about his mother’s family. Based on research utilizing the records from German archives and the International Tracing Services in Arolsen, Germany, I was able to identify some of the members of the Schlesinger family.
I would like to know if you are the same HEINZ SCHLESINGER, son of CURT SCHLESINGER and LUISE SCHLESINGER, who immigrated to Brazil in 1951. If you are this relative, I know that you would be able to assist in documenting the fate of the families of ELSE BADT nee SCHLESINGER; MAX SCHLESINGER; and ISMAR SCHLESINGER.
If you are not Pauline Modell’s cousin Heinz Schlesinger, please accept my apologies for my error. In order not to waste our time, can you please inform if the
Heinz Schlesinger living in Rua Dr. Gabriel dos Santos is you; or is it a different Heinz Schlesinger.
